I am deeply thankful to the Urbana Arts Council for helping to make my dream a reality by awarding Fabrikatefest a 2026 Urbana Arts Grant. Their generosity will cover basic expenses for this year's event — materials for new costumes and accessories for more marchers, advertising, insurance, some payments to performers — but my dream is to involve more professional musicians (and other types of performers!) in this year's event and to compensate them fairly for their time.
